Growing up in the NW Bronx, we called these types of songs, Skyview Music, as that was the name of the building complex we lived in. And there was a big pool (biggest private pool in the BX) where they'd play these types of joints, a lot of rappers and R&B cats from BX & Westchester would hang there (as it was like the pseudo Hamptons for them until rappers could actually afford the Hamptons!)

I really wish there were female artists (damn, artists in general) that were this dope today. Sorry divas, keep working on it, and maybe you'll be a third as dope as this chic if you're lucky!
